Mizpah Privacy Policy

Effective 7 November 2026

Mizpah does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Everything it does happens on your device.

What Mizpah does on your device

Mizpah checks the web addresses your browser requests against filter lists, so it can block ads, trackers and pop-ups. It also looks at the page structure to hide ad elements. This happens entirely inside your browser. No browsing data, page content or web address is ever sent to us or to anyone else.

What Mizpah stores

Mizpah saves your settings in your browser's local extension storage. That includes your trusted sites, your own filters, which lists are turned on, and counts of blocked items. This data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself with the backup feature.

Network requests Mizpah makes

Once a day, Mizpah downloads updated public filter lists from their publishers: EasyList and EasyPrivacy from easylist.to, and Fanboy's Annoyance list from secure.fanboy.co.nz. These are plain downloads. They include no identifiers, cookies or information about you or your browsing. You can turn automatic updates off in Settings.

No analytics, no accounts, no ads

Mizpah has no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, user accounts or advertising. It does not use remote code.

Permissions

Mizpah needs access to all websites so it can filter ads wherever you browse. It uses that access only to block and hide ads, trackers and pop-ups as described above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
